Casavant Freres, Opus 3956

Arriving 2025, our new pipe organ for the Historic Church was built by the Casavant Freres Organ Company of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec. It has three manuals and 42 ranks over Great, Swell, Solo and Pedal. It incorporates vintage pipes from the church’s previous Roosevelt and Moller organs, as well as new pipework by Casavant. More information, including a specification, can be found by clicking here.

The organ will be completed in mid-April and will be first played for Easter Vigil on April 19th, 2025.

It will be formally blessed by Bishop Uffleman-White during an Ascension Day service on Thursday, May 29th at 7 PM.

The dedication concert is scheduled for Friday, October 17th at 7 PM, played by noted organist, Jeremy Filsell.

The organ in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit was built by the C.B. Fisk organ company.  Opus 146 resides in one corner of the space. Charles Nazarian’s angular 5-compartment case design features the Great Principal 8′, made of hammered spotted metal, and the Pedal Violone 16′, constructed of solid maple. The Great and Swell divisions occupy the right-hand portion of the case, the Pedal the left-hand. The console is attached and centered on the right side, offering a good line of sight between Organist and Choir.  This mechanical action organ includes 25 ranks over two manuals and pedal.
